About Us

Richardson Fencing Ltd was formed as a result of the coming together of family members in 2000. Previously several members of the family had worked independently in various areas of the fencing and landscaping industry and came together in order to combine their skills and knowledge to provide a first class service in the south east where they had spotted obvious gaps within the market.

Since then, Richardson Fencing Ltd has grown year on year and has gone from just two members of staff to its current position where it employs a total of twelve members of staff. At the end of 2008 Richardson Fencing purchased Brads Fencing in Godalming after the retirement of its previous owners, this was an acquisition that Richardson Fencing Ltd had been looking at for a while and was a perfect opportunity to spread its working area to the A3 corridor.

We predominately use a few local suppliers for all of our fencing materials as this ensures that we get consistent quality products and are able to negotiate greater discounts. All of our softwood products are Redwood species and are pressure treated to give fifteen to twenty year lifespan (usually even more). In April 2009 our suppliers introduced a fifteen year guarantee on all ground contact wooden fence posts (UC4); this guarantee is against fungal decay and rotting.

Richardson Fencing Ltd is continually striving to improve its working methods and we are always testing new methods of working and new products brought onto the market which means that we can provide you with the most advanced solution to your fencing project. We aim to provide written quotations by email and post within forty eight hours of us undertaking a site visit, thus meaning that you are able to cost the intended project speedily and move forward with our quotation quickly.

Richardson Fencing Ltd has several industry accreditations and memberships, which include Check A Trade, Trading Standards Buy With Confidence Scheme, Federation of Small Businesses and Safe Contractor; we are also CIS registered and certified waste carriers. All our staff are criminal records checked and carry valid CSCS cards, thus ensuring the staff we use are honest and work safely. We carry ten million public liability insurance and five million employer’s liability insurance to cover any unlikely occurrences while we are working.
